Before we arrive: general tips

• Your safety first. If someone is still at the car or you feel unsafe, call 911.
• Don't touch more than you need to. Take photos of every side, the inside, broken glass and any damage before the car is moved.
• Consider filing a police report. In NYC you can call 311 or visit your local precinct. Ask for the report number; insurers usually ask for it.
• List anything that was taken (documents, electronics, parking permits) while it's fresh.
• Call your insurance company. Coverage for vandalism and glass depends on your policy (often comprehensive coverage). Ask whether they have a preferred body or glass shop and whether towing is covered.
• Keep your receipts. We can give you an itemized tow receipt for your claim.
